Artist duo Mitad drop their new EP project entitled 'Normal' — a seven track journey across various music styles and genres storytelling different aspects of life with a strong emphasis on humanity and mental health. Katherine and Sal discuss their inspiration behind the EP in their recent label interview .

'Living' is a song about living your own unique story. Others may have opinions about you, but only YOU can live your life.

'Normal' asks the question: what is "normality" and who makes the rules on what normality is?

'Immature' is a song that many of us can certainly relate to. Are you or someone else that you know just so blindly immature?

'Take A Chance' relates to a lot of different things and opportunities in life. How will you ever know if something will work out if you don't try?

'Mindfool' is a play on words from "mindful" and "fool," with a message about the need to be mindful in life and around others. The lyrics jump from two different stories in each verse.

'Drowning' is a song inspired by the jump from childhood to adulthood. It can consume you and feel like you are "drowning" because no one really prepares you for how big this change can actually be.

'Alien' tells a story about feeling that you do not belong in society. You are looked at and treated differently as being foreign or an "alien." Growing up and coming from a different country to the one that you are living in can be extremely confusing and isolating at times.

This quality production is a fitting follow up to the duo's debut release project 'Fighting With Fire' released on NexGen Music back in 2019.
