We are excited to present a new EP from Earth Leakage Trip entitled 'Going To The Moon,' returning under the new alias 'El-Trip.' His most recent release on NexGen 'Authorised Leakage EP' was back in 2013, with him taking a brief hiatus to continue his work with Project Camelot . Boy has he certainly delivered with this new masterpiece of music production.
'Love Is At Hand' starts our voyage through the stars with a smooth downtempo/trip-hop jam. A melody of warm keys and rhodes take the role of conductor, while trippy spaced-out elements wrap around a slick beat.
Buckled in and on our way, 'Miles' gets us nice and relaxed with a lovely piece of downtempo/nu-jazz. Live drums and jubilant keys lead the way before the infusion of bright trumpet melodies. We close our eyes as we listen and daydream the wonders of the journey that lay ahead.
We take off with 'Going To The Moon' , blasting through the outskirts of the atmosphere and into space. This piece takes form as a progressive house eulogy with early 90's acid-style arpeggiated synths and basslines reminiscent of earlier times. Melodic trumpets combine with warm pads and clever vocal snippets to create a bouncing, groovy ride.
The blissful sounds of 'Yellow Beauty' take us on a slow cruise through the outer heavens. Time stands still as the angelic vocals of Roxana Haloiu flow into our consciousness. Celestial pads and heavenly swells blend with airy drums, trumpets and groovy bass to deliver a spiritual-like musical experience
'Deja Entendu' turns up the tempo with future-jazz orchestra meets bossa nova meets drum and bass. This piece comes packed with purpose and energy sprinkled with a hint of intrigue and suspense. Cleverly mutated horns and vox combine with groovy instrumentation to take us on an euphoric adventure at warp speed.
We move back into cruise control with the final track of the EP, 'Miles Away' — a soulful downtempo/chill-out rework of 'Miles.' This smooth laid-back version lets the rhodes take center stage, with classy trumpets and other instrumentation fusing together beautifully over a lazy, steppy beat. Miles away is a lovely piece music to compliment the long journey home.
Listen, buy, and enjoy! :)
